The good news about Kinderdijk is that a visit to the famous 17th century windmill park is... free. The park
(it is not really a park, because there are no gates or enclosed area's) is integrated in the infrastructure of normal roads,
cycling and walking paths.
It also means the people living in the town use the same roads
and therefore please take caution and obey the rules (speed, parking, etc).
You can actually drive by, shoot some pictures and be on your way again. But if you really want to experience first hand Dutch heritage and have a relaxing time amongst amazing 17th century land marks, we advise you to consider the following more in depth activities:
