World Heritage Kinderdijk
740 Years of Dutch watermanagement history
millMills are closed
A miller loves cloggs: Safe, easy and cheap.
Trick question of a guide
If there is no wind, how do windmills turn?
Good to know
15 out of 19 windmills are still inhabited.
Kinderdijk update May 26th, 2017
Come and have a look at our Havelingen. Stretches of wetland next to our windmills. Flowers bloom where once reeds stood. New policy of lean management. Cut grass twice a year to see wild flowers return.
