Illumination Week

From September 7 to 12, our windmills will literally be cast in the spotlights. Come and dream away in a Dutch fairy-tale landscape as you gaze out over the waters reflecting the shimmering image of our illuminated windmills. During the last two days, we have extended opening hours to last well into the evening, so come by and relish the special mood as Kinderdijk World Heritage is lit

2020 Illumination Week

During Illumination Week, our windmills light up like shining beacons against the dark evening skies, as we literally cast the spotlight on each of our nineteen mills. An unparalleled opportunity for photographers out for some wholly unique shots, to be sure. Still, all other visitors will also find it doubly worthwhile to come and sample the magical atmosphere of a spectacle you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Below you will find a summary of the special activities planned for our 2020 Illumination Week.
